Terms of use.
Plain terms for a beta app. Using TrueForm means you agree to these.

Health and safety
TrueForm gives general fitness guidance, not medical advice.
TrueForm is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it does not assess or prevent injury. Nothing it shows you is a clinical opinion, a physiotherapy assessment or a substitute for one.
What it is: a second pair of eyes on the joints it can see, on the exercises it knows. It watches 12 joints through your phone's camera and tells you when one of them looks off for the movement it thinks you're doing. It cannot see your breathing, your bar path from every angle, your injury history, your fatigue or anything happening beneath your skin.
Talk to a doctor before starting a new training programme, especially if you have an existing condition, an injury, or you're pregnant or recently post-partum. Stop if something hurts. Use weights you can control. If TrueForm tells you your form is good and it doesn't feel good, trust your body.
You are responsible for training safely and within your ability. You use TrueForm at your own risk.
The beta
TrueForm is distributed through Apple TestFlight as beta software. That means:
- It will have bugs, and some of them will be ones we don't know about yet.
- Features may change, be rebuilt or be removed between builds.
- Detection, counting and scoring are a work in progress and will get things wrong.
- Builds expire. TestFlight will prompt you to update, and an expired build stops working.
- We may reset or migrate data during the beta. We'll warn you first if we can, but we can't promise your beta data survives to launch.
- The beta is free, and we may end it or change who has access at any time.
Using TestFlight also means agreeing to Apple's own TestFlight terms.
If you join the waitlist on this site, we'll email you a TestFlight invite. We don't guarantee a place or a timescale, and we use the address for that invite only.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use TrueForm, and 18 or over to buy a subscription. Keep your login details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at — it's how we send your invite and how you recover access.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & data, which removes your synced data. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use TrueForm to film, coach or assess anyone who hasn't agreed to it.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the models from the app, or redistribute them.
- Resell TrueForm, or run it as a service for your own clients, without our written agreement.
- Attack the service — scraping, load-testing, probing for vulnerabilities, or trying to reach other people's data.
- Share your account so several people use one login.
We may suspend or close an account that does any of this.
Free to start, and payment
TrueForm is free to start, and everything is free while it's in beta. We expect to introduce paid features later. If we do, we'll tell you clearly what's changing before it affects you, and what you already have won't be taken away mid-beta without notice.
Any subscription bought through the App Store is handled by Apple, under Apple's terms, and renews until you cancel it in your Apple account settings. Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple. Where we take payment directly, it's processed by Stripe and we never see your card details.
Our content and yours
The app, the models, the TrueForm name, the wordmark and the design are ours. Using TrueForm gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app — it doesn't transfer any of that to you.
Your training records are yours. We don't claim ownership of them, and we don't use them to train our models. If you send us feedback, we may act on it and build what you suggested without owing you anything for it.
Liability
TrueForm is provided as it is. Because it's beta software we can't promise it will be available, accurate or uninterrupted, and we don't warrant that its detection, counting or scoring is correct.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from how you train, from relying on what the app showed you, or from data lost during the beta. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under UK law — and if you're a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Ending it
You can stop using TrueForm whenever you like: delete your account in the app, and remove it from your phone. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.
We may update these terms. For anything material we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can bring a claim in your local courts.
